Focal in the wild

What guests are saying...

“We sat in the covered outdoor patio, which has a very nice heating system. It is easy to use and adjust as needed. It's called Focal Heat. We got the anchovy toast and the tuna entrée. Both were absolutely delicious. We also got special Negroni cocktails which were really tasty. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

What guests are saying...

“Since we walked in without a reservation and they were booked, we were seated outside in the parklet and while I'm not a parklet enthusiast, this one was top notch including individual heaters you control via an app accessible by a QR code. Since I'm always cold and my wife is always hot, this saved the evening.”

“We ate in the recently updated outdoor parklet which was quiet, comfortable and cozily warm with state of the art adjustable heaters over each diner. The food was fantastic and artfully presented. This restaurant just keeps getting better and better.”

FAQs

How many heaters do I need for my space?
Each Focal Duo is designed to heat two people. So, if you have a 20-seat patio, you will need 10 Duos for optimal heating and coverage. Still have questions? Contact us and we would be happy to help design and scope your installation.
What kind of safety certifications does your product have? Is your product waterproof? How about snow?
Our product is rigorously tested to meet UL standards. It is waterproof and will work in snowy conditions. We have you covered!
What is the lifespan of the Duo Heater? What is the company warranty?
The Focal Duo is designed and tested to last the typical lifecycle of premium outdoor appliances, which is around 10 years. To ensure you peace of mind, the heater comes with an extended 3-year manufacturer's warranty, with support offered throughout the life of the product.
What are the power requirements?
Focal Duos mount to an overhead rail that also takes care of power delivery. The rail plugs into a typical 120V/20 A NEMA 5-20R receptacle. You can heat up to 6 seats from a single outlet.
Do I need an electrician?
If you are currently using electric heaters, we do not anticipate that the Duo will require additional electrical work for installation with existing 120 V / 20 A outlets available.

If you are a new restaurant, or transitioning from propane or natural gas heaters, you will need an electrician to route necessary power from the panel to the patio. We are happy to work with your electrician of choice, or recommend our partner electrician who can assist with getting the appropriate electrical setup ready.
How does installation work?
Installation involves minimal assembly and easy mounting of the heater that can be completed by any electrician or contractor. Your Focal Duos come with the necessary hardware for installing the heaters. The user manual includes all the steps and our customer support team is happy to assist or recommend partner installers in your market.
